External Piercing Aftercare Tips

Ensure you wash your hands thoroughly before touching your piercing.
Clean your piercing once or twice a day for the first two months, depending on the piercing aftercare, it can take anything up to a year to be fully healed.
When cleaning make sure you rinse initially, gently wash a little with soap and water, rinse again and then dry with a hair dryer (cool air) You can then apply sterile saline to your piercing and clean with a cotton bud.
After two months or so, it’s recommended to downsize most piercings to better accommodate the jewellery, resulting in more comfort, better healing and to avoid any bumps or crooked piercings caused by sleeping. We recommend coming back to the studio for a quick check up after this time frame, and if required, we’ll change the jewellery. This jewellery will incur a small charge of €15 – €20.
